Joailliers réputés depuis les années 1870, Henri et Paul Vever innovent, en présentant à l'Exposition Universelle de 1900, à côté d'une production traditionnelle de haute joaillerie, une ligne nouvelle de bijoux dits "artistiques". Pour les dessiner, ils ont fait appel au créateur Eugène Grasset.
